It would seem as if the stars all but aligned for the cafe’s courteous and affable owners. Since its grand opening on May 30th, Cravings’ business has been booming—and for good reason! The cafe serves breakfast and lunch all day—seven days a week! You can get your fill of appetizing grilled, wrapped, and panini-pressed handhelds.
Cravings Grill and cafe is much-needed casual dining
This location effectively fulfills a much-needed sandwich-spot niche in Torrington—right to a tee! Whether you're looking at the ham and apple, the jalapeno pepper burger, or any other handheld menu item, there’s no way you can go wrong.
But Cravings fixes more than just sandwiches; there are also choices of salads, sides, and fries. To satisfy your sweet tooth, try a fresh-fruit smoothie, frappe, or coffee at the espresso bar. You can also test Jenny’s confections and other delectable baked goods outsourced from New York.
The venue itself is defined by a high-end, hospitable aesthetic where there’s nothing to hide. Everything’s well-presented, front and center. The open kitchen reflects this perfectly; seeing the staff hard at work preparing meals on the front lines with Jenny and Talia produces a grounded atmosphere on both sides of the counter. The cafe primarily accommodates call-in and pick-up services. But, if you do choose to stop in, you have the leisure of getting cozy and reclining by the fireplace.
