John Brown’s Body 2022 Remix

A 21st century version of a 19th century song whose roots are in equality

This 12-minute music video was a community art project launched during the dark days of COVID and recorded toward the end as things began to open up. The music and video footage were further developed into the musical documentary short film His Truth is Marching On.

It was recorded mainly in Torrington, CT, at the Red Room Sound Studio, Sunshine Studio, and Outlet for the Arts. We also recorded at Dayton Sound Studios in Dayton, OH, and On Deck Studio in New Preston, CT.

We want to thank the musicians, engineers, and others who helped make this project a reality.
