Holiday House Party and Food Drive to Benefit f.i.s.h.!
The holidays are meant to be a time of warmth, comfort, and full tables. But for many of our neighbors right here in Litchfield County, that isn’t the reality this season. With grocery prices climbing and recent cuts to food assistance, more families than ever are quietly turning to local food pantries, many for the very first time, just to make it through the week. Shelves are thinning, needs are growing, and a simple act of kindness can mean everything.
That’s why we’re throwing a party with a purpose.
Join us on December 20, 2025, from 6 to 9 PM at Crossroads Sports Bar and Bites, 29 Main Street, Torrington, for the Holiday House Party to benefit F.I.S.H., hosted by Culture 4 a Cause. It’s a night designed to lift spirits, bring people together, and turn good vibes into real help for our community.
Enjoy feel good music all night with The Jacque Williams Experience, the world premiere of Together We Rise, the official United Way song, and a festive screening of the T-Town Christmas holiday music video. You will also hear from Deirdra DiCara, Executive Director of F.I.S.H., about how moments like this translate into meals, hope, and dignity for local families.
Suggested donation of $10 online or $20 at the door, with all proceeds benefiting F.I.S.H.
Guests are encouraged to bring a canned good or non perishable item to help Stock the Shelves and support local food programs through the winter. Stock the Shelves, through the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, helps coordinate supply gaps between various local soup kitchens and pantries.
Come celebrate, sing along, laugh a little, and make a real difference while you’re at it. Sometimes the most joyful nights are the ones where we take care of each other.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Northwest Community Bank, Aquarion Water Company, and Mel Brickman, HealthMarkets Insurance.
